Børn mellem 2 og 6 år bliver tilbudt gratis vaccination mod influenza

Børnelæge Niels Fisker fortæller om influenzavaccination til børn:

"Influenzavaccination gives som et pust i næsen.

Vaccination mindsker risikoen for, at børn bliver syge af influenza.

Selv om børn som regel ikke bliver alvorligt syge, giver influenza hvert år bekymringer, fravær og brud på hverdagen i mange familier.

På børneafdelingerne ser vi hvert år enkelte børn, der bliver indlagt med alvorlig influenza.

Når dit barn bliver vaccineret, beskyttes det mod fire forskellige typer af influenza.

Risikoen for, at dit barn senere på vinteren udvikler influenza, bliver mindre.

Samtidig mindskes risikoen for, at dit barn kommer til at smitte mindre søskende, bedsteforældre eller andre. For eksempel personer i øget risiko for at blive alvorligt syge af influenza.

Vaccinen er sikker og effektiv, og den er specielt udviklet og godkendt til børn."

Vaccination reduces the risk of children becoming ill from influenza.

Although children usually do not get seriously ill, every year the flu causes worries, absences and interruptions to everyday life in many families. In the children's wards, we see a few children every year who are admitted with severe influenza.

When your child is vaccinated, he or she is protected against four different types of influenza.

The risk of your child developing the flu later in the winter is reduced.

At the same time, the risk of your child infecting younger siblings, grandparents or others is reduced. For example, people at increased risk of becoming seriously ill from influenza.

The vaccine is safe and effective, and it has been specially developed and approved for children."
